Departmental Self Evaluation in Physical Education

Changes in the inspection framework and just 3 days prior notice of the inspection means that much more importance is placed upon how well the department knows about itself. As a subject leader you will expected to make judgements about standards, achievement, progress attitudes and effectiveness of learning and teaching. The curriculum, leadership and management will remain key focus areas. The starting point for the inspection will be the Self-Evaluation Document (SEF) and they will expect to corroborate claims made during the inspection. So how well do you know your department? Have you the evidence to support your claims? This course should help you develop your improvement plan, structure your evidence and improve skills in self evaluation and review.
